Oregano Flats Farm is situated on 110 wooded acres in Saranac, New York.   They produce eggs, vegetables, micro-greens, and salad greens year-round, 365 days a year, with a special emphasis on winter production. They offer winter-long CSA shares, the bulk of which are comprised of salad greens and microgreens. They also produce high-quality eggs – our hens spend their days outside all year, eating fresh food and organic feed; during the winters they spend their days inside a hoop-house, eating fresh pea shoots, sunflower shoots, and microgreens. As far as they know, these hens have the highest quality diet of any fowl on planet earth.

They are a deliberately small-scale family farm, owner-operated by Taylor, Adam, Frances, and Inez DeFayette.  They sell: 1) direct to members via community supported agriculture, 2) retail through the North Country Food Cooperative and Farmhouse Pantry, and 3) at seasonal farmers markets. They are just entering our third year of production, and growing at a steady pace. Within the next two years they plan to diversify our production to include mushrooms, raw milk, and fruit. In building their farm infrastructure, they have benefited greatly from numerous USDA/FSA, New York State, and Clinton County grant/loan programs.  41 Plumadore Rd. Saranac, NY 12981.

Woven Meadows is a pasture-based family farm nestled in the Adirondack hills of Saranac, New York. They raise and rotationally-graze dairy and beef cows, heritage-breed pork, holiday turkeys, and a variety of chickens for meat and eggs. Farmers Sarah and Josh strive to use farming practices which are ecologically sustainable and socially responsible, to produce food that is both healthy and delicious. The farmers also operate a store, bakery, and cafe in Saranac – Farmhouse Pantry – where their meat and eggs are available for sale along with other local farm products, and are also featured in the popular cafe menu and weekly specials.  814 Chazy Lake Rd. Saranac, NY 12981 518.293.7487
