On March 1st, 2018, farmers, business owners, farm workers, nonprofit leaders, government agencies, schools and institutions, and community members will come together at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, NY. Together we’ll address our region’s issues of accessibility, inclusivity, nutrition, and justice from field to fork.
Your participation matters.
What is Food Justice? It is a community exercising its right to grow, sell, and eat healthy food. The whole community. Your voice is important in creating a roadmap toward a strong local foods system in the Adirondacks and beyond.
It’s about OUR community.
The Food Justice Working Group is a new coalition of neighbors: nonprofit and for-profit organizations, community members, local businesses, farmers and farm workers, and government agencies who have come together to start the conversation about creating a more equitable food system in the North Country.
